A Stone Memorial to Elizabeth Bowen

A stone memorial to Elizabeth Bowen

posted Wednesday, 14 November 2007

I have been meticulously working on Elizabeth Bowen fiction, burning the midnight oil. There are 77 sets of these quotes. (EDIT: 12 Feb 09 – there are many more now!)

If you wish to read the quotes in order, the first quote is: Here.

This represents a systematic sampling from all Elizabeth Bowen’s novel chapters and stories.

He shaded his eyes. ‘You look like a statue, up there against the sky! Whatever I do or say, or don’t do or say, do forgive me…’

From Part II (4) of Elizabeth Bowen’s ‘Eva Trout’ 1968

The above was posted in 2007, since when there are now nearly 90 sets of these quotes, including stories from the new THE BAZAAR & OTHER STORIES (2008).
