My visit to the two Yieldingtrees this gloomy November afternoon…

Edit: My daughter says it is the tree protecting itself. I agree.

  3. I’ve just been Googling ‘Yielding trees’, a term I was unfamiliar with. Something to do with the wood yielded by a tree, perhaps?
My own favourite place to take photographs and make videos is the nearby Tehidy Country Park.
It’s delightful being ambushed by squirrels there in the summer. On my last visit, one dangled from a plastic bag I was carrying, which it had figured out contained peanuts, then another started climbing up my leg.

The swans can be bullies, though. They wait on paths for unwary visitors, and their beaks pull at my hands.
And recently I photographed a quite horrifying wrecked tree, bark hanging off it in sheets.
