Irrealoscopic

A lovely painting ‘by John Harrison’ on the above greetings card that I received yesterday. It is definitely a landscape of an area close to where I live. But I am not sure whether it represents an imagined bygone era or has been idealised-projected as a variation on a theme-scene – and there is no possible static vantage point from which you can view that scene (unless in a plane or boat?) – and that path downward, for example, is in reality well foliage-covered and with hand-railings.  The building today is a hotel. And you can see the familiar pier in the distance.  This may be a pictorial example of my ‘synchronised shards of random truth and fiction’ concept!
